How do I treat a cut (dry blooded scab) on my kitten's outer ear?
I just noticed the cut which has dry blood on it. It's on the outside of her ear and looks sort of like a scraped knee kind of cut. Is there something I could use to clean it?
Please do not pick the scab off, that will just increase the risk of infection. I second the advise of Hedge Witch. Just rinse the cut with warm water (maybe add a little salt) and then leave it alone.

can i buy a 240v sds hammer drill and simply replace the normal plug with a 110v plug for safe on site use??
if you mean can I use a 110V plug in a 240V cct, then perhaps not, as it's not rated to that voltage and may arc, certainly the pinout is different. If you mean use a 240V drill in a 110V cct, NO. you'll overheat it, perhaps fatally. BTW 110V drills in 240V ccts is difficult, even with an adapter, as the average power is reduced significantly, and perhaps the peak voltages damage the insulation. Power transformers or even inverter based systems are just too expensive compared to getting the right tool.

Concrete finishing question (power trowel)...?
I will be pouring a concrete floor in my basement next weekend. I began with a dirt floor with a 5 1/2' - 6' ceiling, so I dug it down 3' by hand with a pic & shovel, poured retaining walls around the base to keep my house from falling down, spread and leveled 3-4" of stone all over & now I'll be pouring the floor. The dimensions are approximately 15' by 30' - it's 1/2 of the basement (thought I'd give you a little background). After "screeting" (I hope that's the right term) the floor off with a 2x10, how long should I wait until I can go over it with the power trowel? I have poured a few smaller floors (sheds & sidewalks) but I've never tackled a crete pour of this size & I don't want to mess it up with a power trowel I've never used... I would assume that you would use the power trowel when you can walk on the concrete and leave a mark from the tread on your shoes but not sink in... Is that correct? If not, let me know. Thanx for any knowledgeable advice!
You are about wright on all accounts. You have to test the concrete as it cures to see just when it is wright to power trowel. This is out of the sun so it will cure a bit slow so you just have to check it. Start in the first poured area because it will set first.
Don't try doing the pour and finish by your self you can easily get in over your head. Good luck
