How do you prep PVC sch 40 pipe for glue ?
I heard 4 differnt ways at home depot . They were getting pretty heated .1 said purple primer , 1 said sand it , 1 said use clear cleaner ,& 1 said just use the heavy duty glue by itself . I was rolling , I thought they were going to come to blows !
Take it from me, the master plumber of OHIO.
Once upon a time you did have to sand it, but the exturding process no longer causes the outer "shell" to harden.
The difference between "priming" and a "cleaner" is the depth that the solution will soften the PVC to accept the solvent weld.
Here is what you do:
1. Make sure pipe surface and fittings are clean of dirt and oil.
2. Apply a coating of PVC cleaner to the end of the pipe and the inside of the fitting recieving the pipe. Make sure all surfaces that will be in contact are wipe thoroughly with the cleaner.
3. Wait a seconds for most of the cleaner to dry.
4. Apply PVC "cement" (its actually a solvent weld) to both the pipe and fitting.
5. Push the pipe in the fitting and rotate 1/4 turn. Hold pipe and fitting together for about a minute as it will want to back out.
6. Wipe off excess cement. (I use the cleaner for this)
7. Drains can be used in about 1 hour. Pressure piping such as water lines need to wait 24 hours, but I've had luck with waiting only 8 hours

Hi all,i am constructing my house and its decoration by my self and i have to know about the Stone Saw, Diamond Saw Blade, Masonry Saw Blades & Tile Saw blades.I search many website but they were at very high cost prices for these blade.So can any one know the better website in which i can buy low cost price blades .I wanna answer urgently plz.

This question is both humorious and kinda wise.Look at it this way,your not buying in quanities.Just utilize Home Depot/Lowe's and save time and trouble.
Some of the blades we use in our saws run up to about $800 each,smaller 14" we can get about $170 each buying 6 at a time.Many blades can be used for several different uses,and wet/dry,wet blades last longer.
I just buy mine at HD/Lowe's (4 1/2" blades) and deal with it.

how to cut countertop to length?
i'm going to replace my kitchen counter top, but i need to cut it to length. is there a way to do this and get an accurate cut using a power saw or table saw. i also have a reciprocating saw and a hand held scroll saw. which of these would you recommend and are there any tips for doing this successfully.
Mask off the laminate side with tape, enough to cover the base of the saw,if you bought enough material cut off a 4"piece, then take off the tape. If you are not happy with the result you're probably using too rough a saw blade or cutting too fast. The key to this is masking the countertop, then strike your cut line, and don't push the saw, let the saw do the work, slow and steady won the race. Reciprocating and scroll saw for your sink cut-outs only as they will chip the laminate more than a high-speed circular saw, but that's not a problem because your sink flange will cover that.

How will a cheap amp wiring kit damage my system?
I bought a cheap amp kit and was wondering if this could damage anything, im only running 250 watts rms. Once you strip a wire, is it okay to fold the end to make it thicker? This was the only way i could get my terminals to stay on.
not really, I don't really like wire kit they are expensive, I like buy everything separate a lot cheaper, 8 awg wire is enough, and the wolmart brand RCA Cables and speaker wire for the remote on the amplifier, 16 awg kicker speaker wire should do good on you. Look up on the ebay or amazon for a fuse block, it's like under 10 dollars for an 8 awg wire to run though. wire terminals like 2 dollar for 4 of them if you can find it, should be around that price for 8 awg, 60 amp fuse should do decent on your amplifier. I teach you a better way to let terminals to stay on, strip it first then use a hammer to hammer it down, best and cheapest way to do it, even professionals dose in this way, not just me. If you have 0 awg wire terminals use the solder fist to solder the wire in to the terminal, I like to use a power gas torch to solder the wire be-careful don't burn yourself or the house, I always doing it on my drive way or down the street a lot safer that way. Don't worry about the terminal turning red or purple-ish red is do to high temperature. The wire can get really really hot, I would suggest you after you have done hammer it down and don't touch the end of terminal they can still be hot but is easy for you to hammer it down I would suggest use any kind wooden board and do it on the board. Just easy for you. after you have finished everything set the wire in to the cold water or let it set for a period of time to cool off, then put it on your battery all that should be working good, and is tightest way of doing it to, learned from one of my friend who is in the car audio world for over 5 years, he tough me this thing, because I wasted 2 0 awg wire terminals to do not tight like you said fold the end and put it inside the terminals and hammer it down no good on 0 awg, may be 8 awg is okay, not sure on 4 awg wire I just hammer it down that's all. Nothing else and stayed on okay, but this way is the tightest way of doing it, not way the terminals going to fall off unless you cut the wire off. good luck.
