Who here believes that the Arizona law gives police the power to stop those they suspect are here illegally?

If so, then at least you are in agreement with the STUPENDOUSLY ill-informed Attorney General, Eric Holder.
But why let "not reading the actual law" stop you from criticizing it?

CAN someone show me where the new law says that POLICE can stop anyone they believe are here illegally?

ALL laws can be mis-applied... I was even stopped once for driving " too good ".. it is up to the integrity of the police officer.... MOST police officers are fine....but there will always be a few who will use poor judgment ..... that is why we have review boards....appeals ....and complaints.... police disciplinary procedures

This whole thing has been blown out of proportion by emotional people who do not even live in Arizona.... they fear things that have not even happened

Having lived in the area... dealt with the people.... my read is..... MOST illegals have nothing to fear..... nothing will change for 90% of illegals..... the ONLY ones with a problem will be those caught breaking the law.....

WHY ?..... because the police NEED the illegals...... if they start rounding up ALL illegals..... the Latin community will shut down..... NO ONE will help the police catch the REAL bad guy....the murderers.....the rapists .....the robbers..... The sheriff of Pima country ...one of the largest counties in Arizona....has already said he is not going to enforce the law....

When some dirt bag kicks in a door ....beats an elderly couple almost to death like they did near Douglas AZ...... then they might ask him to prove he is here legally.... and after he gets sprung from jail on a ??? technicality..... they will probably throw him out of the country

or when a gang of illegals rape a 12 year old girl....shoot her in the head (she survived),,,, her brother and two friends did not.... they might deport them AFTER they serve time for murder

Or the gang of illegals that had a running gun battle on the super highway outside of Phoenix.... killing several people..... they might get asked and deported

SORRY if I am not concerned that they were "embarrassed " when they were asked to prove they were here LEGALLY....

Buy a clue.... there is a war going on in Arizona.....people are dying....
