where should we use root spacer in the bevel & where we are not allowed to use it out of bevel in pipe fitting
i mean which size of pipe .if there is any standard please guide me
The bevel should be 37.5 degrees on both pipes. The root spacing is usually recommended to be the same as the electode diameter but If you can get a good root in then that's the ticket. every welder has a different method. If it can pass a destructive test or an Xray then it's a good root pass.
